Heavy (44-88mm) to very heavy (89mm) rainfall with gusty winds and gusty winds are likely to occur in coastal areas of the country under the influence of Cyclone Rimal. Also, there may be high tides 3-5 feet higher than normal tides.

It is said that due to the impact of the cyclone, the coastal districts of Satkhira, Khulna, Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Jhalkathi, Barguna, Barisal, Bhola, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Laxmipur, Feni, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and their remote islands and chars are 3-5 times lower than the normal tide. Tides of more than 10 feet may occur.

Meanwhile, after the formation of the cyclone, rain has started in various coastal places including Bhola, Pirojpur since the evening. The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief has ordered the six districts of the country to be specially prepared to deal with the cyclone. The districts are Satkhira, Bagerhat, Khulna, Barguna, Patuakhali and Bhola.
