Tidal water in Karnaphuli river is increasing in Chittagong due to Cyclone Rimal

The deep depression over West Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas is currently located 365 km southwest of Chittagong seaport. Due to this, torrential rain has started in Chittagong since 1:30 PM. In Bangladesh Meteorological Department’s emergency notification number 12, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar seaports have been asked to show distress signal number 9. Besides, the river ports have been asked to display warning signal number 4.
