Power supply has been cut off in many areas due to fallen trees and broken lines. Besides, electricity supply has been shut off in many areas to avoid accidents. Mobile phone networks are down in many areas due to lack of electricity.

Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board Member (Management and Distribution) Debashish Chakraborty confirmed this information to Jago News on Monday (May 27) afternoon.

Debashish Chakraborty said that 2 crore 35 lakh customers across the country are currently without electricity. As the rain does not stop, our teams have to rush to work.
