Bangladesh Coast Guard stands by the victims of Cyclone Rimal

Bangladesh Coast Guard has once again taken a three-day special program to help the helpless poor and underprivileged people in the coastal areas affected by Cyclone Rimal. As part of the programme, Bangladesh Coast Guard is providing food distribution, shelter and medical services to the affected families.

Lieutenant Siam-ul-Haq, the media officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, gave this information in a circular on Wednesday (May 29).

According to the notification, with the recent cyclone Rimal forecast, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has alerted the general public, fishermen and boaters in all coastal areas, distributed campaigns and leaflets, discouraged fishermen from going to the sea, and encouraged everyone to go to shelters

Since last May 25, all Coast Guard stations and outposts have provided shelter and food as well as medical services to hundreds of families including children, elderly and women in danger in coastal areas.

After Cyclone Rimal, Bangladesh Coast Guard has again taken a three-day special program to help the helpless poor and underprivileged people in the coastal affected areas. Under this program, the Coast Guard is providing various food items and free medical services as relief.

Besides, the Bangladesh Coast Guard Family Welfare Association is providing large amount of donations to the affected and underprivileged women, children and the elderly for clothing and building houses for the affected.
