The Directorate of Meteorology has given a glimpse of rain with gusty wind or rain with thunder in some places in three divisions of the country (Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet) and two places each in Dhaka and Chittagong divisions.

This is said in the next 24-hour forecast from 9 am on Thursday. It further said that the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country on this day. Day and night temperatures may drop slightly in northern parts of the country today and may increase slightly in other parts of the country.

In the next 72 hours forecast, the synoptic condition is an extension of western low pressure extending from West Bengal to Northwest Bay of Bengal. Southwest Monsoon has advanced up to Teknaf coast. Conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon.

The forecast for the next 24 hours from 9:00 am on Friday said that on this day there may be rain with gusty wind or thunder in some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and two places each in Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country on this day.

According to Saturday’s forecast, the Department of Meteorology has given a glimpse of rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder in some places of the country’s 4 divisions (Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet) and two places each in Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions.

Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies on the day. Day temperatures may decrease slightly and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.
