58121 Bengali pilgrims reached Saudi

Another Bangladeshi pilgrim died in Saudi Arabia. On Sunday (June 2), a pilgrim named Maksud Ahmed (61) died in Medina. His house is at Chakaria in Cox’s Bazar. 58 thousand 121 Bangladeshi Haj pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia so far after the start of Hajj flights.

This information was revealed from the daily bulletin of IT helpdesk on Hajj portal on Tuesday (June 4).

A total of 58,121 Hajj pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday (June 3) till 3:00 p.m. Among them, 3 thousand 747 pilgrims under government management and 54 thousand 374 under private management. So far 149 flights to Saudi Arabia have been operated.

The first flight of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia started on May 9. The flights to Saudi will continue till June 12. The return flight will start on June 20 after Hajj. The return flight will end on July 22.

This year’s Hajj will be held on June 16 subject to sighting of the moon. This time a total of 85 thousand 257 people will go for Hajj by government and private management. Out of this, 4 thousand 562 people will go for Hajj under government management and 80 thousand 695 people will go for Hajj under private management.

According to the latest information from the Ministry of Religion, 10 Bangladeshi pilgrims have died in Saudi Arabia so far. All 10 deceased were men. Seven Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Mecca and three in Medina.
