Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman said that cows from one haat cannot be taken to another haat in Dhaka. If someone takes down the cow at another market, a robbery case will be filed against them if necessary.

He said this after a meeting with the hut tenants of the DMP headquarters on Tuesday afternoon.

DMP Commissioner said, if someone tries to take cows from one market to another market, the police will take appropriate action in this regard. Traders who bring cows from outside Dhaka will draw a banner in front of the vehicle with the name of the cow market.

He said that there should be good coordination of those who will work in cow market in Dhaka. In particular, the District Administration, City Corporation Magistrate and Police Magistrate will be there. Let there be harmony between them. 19 coordination meetings should be held for 19 haats in Dhaka. Police OC, DC and traffic police members will coordinate.

The police chief of Dhaka said that traffic management around Qorbani haat is a big challenge for the people of Dhaka. Everyone should take care that there is no traffic jam around the animal market. Homebound people who will travel should be able to move freely.

He said that the DB team will be vigilant about the ignorance party and malam party in the market. There will be 24-hour police presence in the market. Businessmen can take the help of the police in dealing with large sums of money.

DMP Commissioner advises the haat tenants to take alternative arrangements for electricity in the haat. He also urged the people concerned to always be alert in the market.
