72415 Hajj pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh

72 thousand 415 pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia till 2:59 pm on Saturday (June 8) to perform the holy Hajj. They reached Saudi Arabia by a total of 185 flights. Among them, 4 thousand 550 people are under government management and 67 thousand 865 people are pilgrims under private management. Apart from this, 100% visas have been issued against the application.

This information was given in the latest Hajj bulletin on Sunday (June 9). Airlines, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Hajj Office Dhaka and Saudi Arabia have informed this information on helpdesk.

According to helpdesk information, out of total 185 flights so far, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has operated 97 flights, Saudi Airlines 62 and Flinus Airlines 26. As of yesterday, 87.5 percent of the total flights, and 87 percent of the total Haj pilgrims, have reached Saudi Arabia.

So far 12 people have died while performing Hajj. A person named Sheikh Ariful Islam (57) died in Makkah on June 6. Nine men and one woman were among the pilgrims who died. In the current Hajj season, he became the first Bangladeshi in Saudi Arabia on May 15. A pilgrim named Asaduzzaman died.

On May 9, the first dedicated flight of Bangladesh Airlines departed for Saudi Arabia with 415 pilgrims. With this, the official journey of this year’s Hajj begins. The last Hajj flight will be on June 12.

This year, 85 thousand 252 people will go to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj with guides under government and private management. Among them, 4 thousand 562 people have officially registered. And 80 thousand 695 people registered privately. 1 thousand 899 pilgrims will be accompanied by one guide for every 44 people. The number of agencies participating in Hajj activities is 259. The first return flight of pilgrims is on June 20 and the last return flight is on July 22.
