A madrasa student died in Feni due to lightning. This incident took place in North Kashimpur village of Panchgachia Union of Feni Sadar Upazila at around 12:30 noon on Sunday.

The name of the deceased madrasa student is Anwar Hossain (14). He is the son of Noor Karim of North Kashimpur village. Anwar was an eighth grade student of a local madrasa.

According to the sources of police and local residents, Anwar went to the Kara Khal area of ​​the village with his father to cut grass for the cows. On the way back home from there, Anwar died due to lightning. His father Noor Karim narrowly escaped with his life.

Local Panchgachia Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Mahabubul Haque confirmed the death of Anwar Hossain. He told Prothom Alo that the death of a teenager due to lightning has been reported to Feni Model Police Station.
