During the Eid Yatra, traffic jams have been created on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway over an area of 10 km.
On Sunday (June 16) there was a traffic jam from the east side of Bangabandhu Bridge to Analia Bari. Due to this, the people of the north have to suffer a lot. Especially women and children are suffering more.
In Tangail city bypass Ashekpur area, not only long-distance buses, but also trucks and pickup vans, people are rushing to their destinations.
Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station (OC) Alamgir Hossain said that the pressure of traffic on the bridge increases in the morning and night. On the other hand, some cars broke down. Later it takes some time to evacuate the broken down vehicles resulting in traffic congestion due to additional vehicle pressure.
