After the Eid holiday, bank transactions have started from today

After the Eid-ul-Azhar holiday, government offices and courts, including banks, are opening from today. And the schedule of government offices and banks is changing from today. Under the new rules, the banks will start trading from Wednesday at 10 am, which will continue till 4 pm.

 

However, bank offices will be open from 10 am to 6 pm. There will be weekend holidays on Friday and Saturday. So far bank transactions were done from 10 am to 3:30 pm. And the banks’ offices were open from 10 am to 5 pm.

A circular in this regard was issued from the Department of Offsite Supervision of Bangladesh Bank on June 9. It is said that bank activities will be conducted according to the new schedule from June 19 until further instructions are given in accordance with the office schedule announced by the government. The central bank issued this directive under the authority of Section 45 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991.

 

Eid-ul-Azha or the Eid of Sacrifice, the second major religious festival of Muslims, was celebrated across the country on Monday. June 13 was the last working day of government officials before Eid. A five-day holiday started on June 14 around Eid.

 

The occasion of Eid was a public holiday on June 16, 17 and 18 (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday). However, there were two days of weekend on June 14 and 15 (Friday and Saturday) before the Eid holiday. As a result, government officials and employees got leave from last 14 to 18 June.
