According to the warning, there may be heavy to very heavy rains at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Sylhet, Barisal and Chittagong divisions due to the active monsoon over Bangladesh. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in these areas during the next 72 hours from 10 am on Friday.

Due to heavy rainfall, there is also a risk of landslides in the hilly areas of Chittagong, Rangamati, Khagrachari and Bandarban districts.

It rained all over the country in 24 hours from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning. During this period, the maximum rain fell in Dhaka, 64 mm.
