Excavation of canals started in the part recovered from the possession of Sadiq Agro

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) is starting the canal digging in the part recovered from the illegal occupation of Sadiq Agro Farm discussed in the goat incident.

On Friday (June 28) at noon, excavation work started in the area occupied by Sadiq Agro in the Ramchandrapur canal in Beribadh area of ​​Mohammadpur.

DNCC information officer Piyal Hashan said that canal excavation work has started in the recovered part of Sadiq Agro. DNCC is conducting canal excavation work today (Friday) in Satmasjid housing area of ​​Mohammadpur.

Yesterday, more than 60 illegal structures built by occupying DNCC’s own land, canals and roads were removed and about 10 bighas of its own property was recovered; which included the portion of the canal occupied by Sadiq Agro.

Dhaka DNCC information officer Piyal Hasan said that the evacuation process will continue for the next three days. Meanwhile, the DNCC has started the process of excavating the part of the canal that was filled.
