Warning signal number three in four seaports

Four seaports in the country have been asked to display local warning signal number three. This information is known from the weather warning of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday.

The warning signed by meteorologist Omar Farooq said, “Southwest Monsoon is strong over North Bay of Bengal and adjacent coastal areas of Bangladesh. Due to this, deep convective clouds continue to form in the North Bay of Bengal and there is a lot of pressure variation. Gust or gusty winds may occur over North Bay of Bengal, coastal areas of Bangladesh and sea ports. Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display local warning signal number three. It further said, “Fishing boats and trawlers stationed in the North Bay of Bengal have been asked to move cautiously close to the coast until further notice.”
