New routine of HSC examination of four subjects postponed due to floods in Sylhet

New routine of HSC and equivalent examination of four subjects postponed in Sylhet division due to flood situation has been released. In the new routine, the examination of these four subjects will be held on August 13. Examinations for other subjects will be held as per previous routine.

Sylhet Education Board Controller of Examinations Arun Chandra Pal confirmed the information to the media on Monday afternoon. These four subject tests that were postponed were early in the previous routine. In the previous routine, the dates for these were 30th June Bengali (Compulsory) First Paper, 2nd July Bengali (Compulsory) Second Paper, 4th July English (Compulsory) First Paper and 7th July English (Compulsory) Second Paper. Now the rescheduled exam schedule for these four subjects is that Bengali (compulsory) first paper will be held on August 13, Bengali (compulsory) second paper on August 18, English (compulsory) first paper on August 20 and English (compulsory) second paper on August 22.

After the examination of these four subjects in the previous routine, the examination of Information and Communication Technology (Compulsory) subject was on July 9. Now in the rescheduled schedule, the HSC exam is basically starting in Sylhet division with the information and communication technology (compulsory) subject exam on July 9. The postponed four subject exams will be held after the other subject exams are held as per previous routine (from August 13).

According to education board sources, HSC and equivalent examinations in four districts of Sylhet division have been postponed till July 8 due to the flood situation. The exam was supposed to start on June 30. It was then informed that the exams which were supposed to be held from July 9, will be held as usual. The new exam routine for the four subjects which have now been postponed has been released.
