A storm with a maximum speed of 60 km/h may move over 17 districts of the country including Dhaka by 1 pm

After two days of continuous rain, the capital and surrounding areas have become somewhat normal. However, due to the monsoon season, the Meteorological Office has informed about the possibility of more or less rain in the whole country.

On Wednesday (July 3), a storm with a maximum speed of 60 km is likely to blow over 17 districts of the country including Dhaka by 1 pm, said the Meteorological Office. Along with that, there is a risk of rain with thunder.

This information is known in the weather forecast given for the inland river ports of the country.

It said that there is a risk of storm over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet districts by 1 pm.

This storm may occur temporarily from South or South-East direction with a speed of 45-60 km per hour. Besides, there is a risk of rain or thunder. The river ports in these areas have been asked to show the number one warning signal.

Meanwhile, a marine warning issued on Tuesday said that southwest monsoon is strong in North Bay of Bengal and adjacent coastal areas of Bangladesh. Due to this, deep convective clouds continue to form in the North Bay of Bengal and there is a lot of pressure variation. Gusty winds may blow over North Bay of Bengal, coastal areas of Bangladesh and seaports.
