A low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, the country’s seaports have been asked to show local warning signal number three.
This information was informed in a warning of the Meteorological Office on Thursday (July 18) afternoon.
A low pressure has formed over west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, the warning said. Due to this, there is a lot of variation in air pressure in the North Bay of Bengal area. Gusty/stormy winds may occur over North Bay of Bengal, coastal areas of Bangladesh and seaports.
Fishing boats and trawlers operating in North Bay of Bengal have been asked to approach the coast with caution until further notice.
