Chief advisor Professor. Begum Rokeya University student Abu Saeed, who was shot by the police in the anti-discrimination movement of  Dr. Muhammad Yunus students, is going to the village home of Pirganj today.

Rangpur district media about the visit of Abu Saeed’s house in Babanpur, Pirganj, chief adviser said, “The head of the interim government Dr. Muhammad Yunus will come from Dhaka to Babanpur in Pirganj by helicopter tomorrow (Saturday) around 9:30 am. He will come here and visit the grave of Abu Saeed and talk to his family members. Before returning home from France on Thursday, Dr. Dr. Muhammad Yunus became emotional remembering Abu Saeed, who was shot dead by the police during the anti-discrimination movement. At this time, he said, ‘I remember Abu Saeed. The picture of Abu Saeed is embedded in the minds of every people of Bangladesh. No one can forget it. What an incredible brave young man! It should be noted that one of the coordinators of Begum Rokeya University in the anti-discrimination movement was Abu Saeed, a 12th batch student of the English Department. During the movement, on July 16, students clashed with police, Chhatra League and Jubo League at Park Junction adjacent to Begum Rokeya University. At one point, Abu Saeed was shot dead by the police. The next day on July 17, his body was buried at his house in Babanpur village of Madankhali union of Pirganj upazila.
