What Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim wrote about Dr. Yunus

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated Nobel laureate economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus as chief advisor in the interim government of Bangladesh.

Anwar Ibrahim congratulated Dr. Yunus in a post made by the Prime Minister of Malaysia on his X handle on Friday (August 9).

In a congratulatory message, Anwar Ibrahim wrote, I heartily congratulate Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus on his appointment as Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh. His vast experience promises to lead the nation with wisdom and integrity.

As a new dawn dawns in Bangladesh, bringing a renewal fueled by the vigor and vision of its youth, I am reminded of the immortal words of the great Bengali painter-poet-philosopher Rabindranath Tagore: Where the mind moves by you, he writes. In ever-expanding thought and action; To that freedom heaven, my father, may my country awake.

He further wrote, At this important moment in history, I wish the people of Bangladesh every success and a bright future.

On Thursday (August 8) after 9:00 p.m., Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, who won the Nobel Peace Prize, was sworn in as the chief adviser to the interim government. President Md Sahabuddin recited the oath.
