He said, ‘When there is a change in our country or any other country, especially in third world countries, some people try to take advantage. “Unfortunately, in every revolution in Bangladesh, the leaders of the ruling party—be they Hindus or Muslims—become victims.” Describing communal harmony in Bangladesh as ‘extraordinary’, Mirza Fakhrul said, “There may have been isolated attacks (on minority communities) (in Bangladesh). . But they are in no way systematic or politically motivated.

Mirza Fakhrul said that BNP is ready to go to the elections at any time. However, Nobel laureate Dr. He felt that the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus needed more time to hold elections. Mirza Fakhrul believes that the army will not interfere in the progress of the political process of Bangladesh. He said, “People have faith that the army is the protector of the country. So I don’t think they (army) will do anything that goes against the will of the people of the country.

Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajib Wazed Joy has claimed that she did not resign as Prime Minister before leaving the country. In this regard, Mirza Fakhrul said, “The president himself said in front of the leaders of various political parties and the top officers of the army that he (Sheikh Hasina) has resigned.” There was no coercion or anything like that. It was a revolution. When lakhs of people started marching towards Sheikh Hasina’s residence, her security forces and the armed forces gave her two options. One is to stay and face the angry crowd. Regarding Jamaat-e-Islami, he said, ‘Jamaat is not an extremist party. But there were some extremist groups in Bangladesh, I don’t believe they exist now. He said, this movement has been completely led by students. Most of them are very progressive. Many who led the movement were extraordinarily talented.
