Chief Adviser to the Interim Government Dr. Muhammad Yunus has expressed satisfaction with the significant improvement in law and order in the country.
The spokesperson of the Chief Adviser's Office said that Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-Uz Zaman had a meeting with Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Monday. At this time, he appreciated the active role of the army to help improve the situation in the country. The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Bangladesh Army. Besides, on Monday, the chief adviser held a meeting with the secretaries of more than two dozen ministries. He inquired about the development projects under implementation of the concerned ministries.
Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain was present at this time. Later in the afternoon, the Chief Adviser held a meeting with the Civil Society Leaders.
Among the civil society leaders were former Cabinet Secretary Ali Imam Majumder, eminent economist Wahiduddin Mahmud and Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) Honorary Fellow Debapriya Bhattacharya.
