Out of the total 19 full secretaries appointed on contractual basis, the appointment of 10 has been cancelled. This information has been confirmed in a circular from the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday. It was signed by Bhaskar Debnath Bappi, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry.

The list of canceled contractual appointments includes – National Board of Revenue Chairman Abu Hena Rahmatul Munim, National Parliament Secretariat Secretary KM Abdus Salam, Roads, Transport Department Secretary ABM Aminullah Noori, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Chairman Lokman Hossain Miah, Planning Department Senior Secretary Satyajit Karmakar, Private Aviation and Tourism Ministry Secretary Mokammel Hossain, Agriculture Ministry Secretary Begum Wahida Akhter, Science and Technology Ministry Secretary Md. Ali Hossain, Secretary of the Ministry of Railways Dr. Humayun Kabir and Executive Member (Secretary) of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA). Khairul Islam.
