A total of 5 contractual appointments including chief editor and managing director of Bangladesh News Agency (BSS) Abul Kalam Azad have been cancelled.
On Saturday (August 17), a notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration canceling their contractual appointments.
Others are – Director General of Bangla Academy Dr. Haroon-ur-Rashid Askari, Director General of Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky, Director of National Library Center Miner Mansoor. Also the contractual appointment of Deputy High Commissioner Ranjan Sen (First Secretary) to Pres Jung of India Mission has been cancelled.
Their appointment was canceled in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Abdullah Arif Mohammad.
