Warning signal number three in sea port

As the low pressure over the Bay of Bengal has intensified and turned into a pronounced low pressure, all sea ports in Bangladesh have been asked to display danger number three.

This warning was issued in the bulletin of the Meteorological Department on Sunday.

According to the notification signed by meteorologist Abul Kalam Mallik, the low pressure located in the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjacent Gangetic West Bengal Bangladesh coastal area has condensed and turned into a distinct low pressure and is currently located in Bangladesh and adjacent Gangetic West Bengal area.

As a result, gusty winds may blow over the coastal areas and seaports of Bangladesh.

That is why Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra sea ports are asked to show local warning signal number three in the notification.
