Due to heavy rains in Chandpur, Faridganj Upazila important road business establishments, homesteads, agricultural land, poultry farms, fish enclosures have been flooded with water.
Heavy rains have caused severe waterlogging since Sunday night on 18th. In Faridpur upazila under the Chandpur SEZ project, this waterlogging has occurred in the remote areas of the villages including the municipal areas. Due to the falling of trees, electricity has been cut off. Millions of people have become miserable due to the continuous rain. According to the information of Chandpur Meteorological Office, Chandpur has recorded 71 millimeters of rain from 12:00 on August 20 to 12:00 on Wednesday, August 21.
