The ambassador also said that tourism industry in Bangladesh has bright potential. In addition to further enhancing the existing partnership of the aviation sector to realize this potential, we wish to cooperate and support the development of tourism industry in Bangladesh. Aviation and tourism industry will further strengthen the people-to-people friendship of our two countries.

Tourism Minister Farooq Khan said that the current government is working sincerely for the development of tourism in Bangladesh. Already, the number of domestic tourists in the country has exceeded 2 crores. We are also taking various measures to attract foreign tourists. There is an opportunity for the UAE to invest in developing tourism infrastructure, building hotels and resorts in Bangladesh. If the emirates invest in this sector, we will extend all possible support to them. Apart from the existing relationship in the aviation sector, the new area of cooperation in the tourism industry will take the relationship between the two countries to greater heights.
