Thanchi (Bandarban) Representative:

An anti-tobacco training workshop has been held at Thanchi in Bandarban in the financial year 2023-24 of the upazila level of the smoking and tobacco product use control program under implementation by the National Tobacco Control Cell of the Health Services Department of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

On Monday (July 15) at 10:30 in the morning, anti-tobacco training was organized by the upazila administration in Thanchi upazila meeting room. Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mohammad Mamun conducted the overall management of this training. All members of tobacco control committee at upazila level participated in it.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Thowaihla Mong Marma, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Achif Uddin Miah, Thanchi Police Station SI (Unarmed) Ratan Kanti Dey, Upazila Engineer Md Emdadul Haque, Upazila Health Complex Resident Medical Officer Md Abdullah Al were present as guests. Noman and Upazila Assistant Education Officer Md. Nizam Uddin and others. Also present were members of the Upazila level Tobacco Control Committee among others.
