Meteorologist Md. Omar Farooq said, due to the effect of active monsoon on Bangladesh, there are storms and rains in different areas of the country. Due to this, a storm with a maximum speed of 60 km per hour may blow over 11 districts of the country by noon. He gave this information in a warning message given to the inland river ports of the country on Saturday.

According to the weather forecast, between 5 am and 1 pm on Saturday, rain at a speed of 45 to 60 km per hour from south/south-east over Dhaka, Faridpur, Kushtia, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar. Temporarily gusty winds with thundershowers.

At this time, the river ports of these areas have been asked to show warning signal number 1.

Meanwhile, in the 72-hour forecast of the Meteorological Department on Friday, it is said that there may be light to moderate rain or thunder with gusty winds temporarily in various districts of the country including Dhaka. Along with this, moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

Apart from this, the forecast for the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Sunday has said that light to moderate rain or thunder may occur in most places of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and in many places of Rangpur division. Along with this, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.
