4 guidelines of the Department of Health to avoid the risk of heat stroke

Heat stroke symptoms; high body temperature, sweat, perspire, headache, red skin, dehydration.

The unbearable heat will continue for a few more days. The Department of Meteorology has issued a heat alert in the country stating that there will be severe heat waves for the next three days. In a message on Monday, it was said that the ongoing heat wave over the country may last for 72 hours. Excess of water vapor in the air can cause discomfort in public life. The Department of Health has given four instructions to reduce the risk of heat stroke in this intense heat.

 

These instructions have been given in a press release sent by the Health Department on Tuesday. It is said that there is severe heat wave in the country. In this situation, there is no substitute for caution to stay healthy.

The instructions are-

1. Stay away from intense heat, rest occasionally in the shade.

2. Drink plenty of safe water. Avoid street food and drinks to avoid deadly water borne diseases including Hepatitis A, E, Diarrhea. Bathe more than once if necessary.

3. In hot weather, wear loose-fitting light-colored clothing, avoiding dark-colored clothing if possible.

4. In hot weather, if any symptoms such as cessation of sweating, nausea, severe headache, increased body temperature, decreased urination, burning sensation during urination, convulsions and fainting occur, go to the hospital immediately and seek medical advice.

Earlier, a three-day heat alert was issued by the Meteorological Department for the first time on April 19 due to severe heat wave.
