Sarjis Alam, the Chief Organizer (Northern Region) of the National Citizens’ Party, stated that from this platform, they take an oath to uphold the responsibility entrusted to them and never betray it in their short lifetime.
Speaking on Friday afternoon at the party’s inaugural event in front of the Parliament building on Manik Mia Avenue, Dhaka, he emphasized the need for unity among all political parties to properly organize Bangladesh. He envisioned a future where Bangladesh thrives through collective strength, asserting that Hasina has destroyed the country’s institutions. He called on all political forces to come together to restore these institutions and ensure justice for what he described as her crimes. He urged that no one should seek to free criminals through police interventions.
Sarjis Alam warned that if major political parties do not allow smaller ones to progress, another dictatorship could emerge. He stressed the importance of learning from Hasina’s rule, ensuring that the nation and its people remain the top priority in building a new, equal Bangladesh.
