A new law on the Holy Hajj has come into effect in Saudi Arabia. This law is supposed to come into effect from Sunday (June 2), which will continue till June 20. Strict action will be taken during these few days against those who break the new rules and guidelines of Hajj.

According to the new law, those who perform Haj without permission this year will be fined 10,000 Saudi Riyals, which is about three and a half lakh taka in Bangladeshi currency. Anyone transporting pilgrims without permission will be jailed for six months and fined 50,000 riyals, which is more than 1.5 lakh taka in Bangladeshi currency

Saudi Arabia has announced that no one will be allowed to perform Hajj without permission. No one can approach Makkah, the Holy Places, Haramain train station, security posts, screening centers and temporary checkpoints without permission.

Expatriates living in Saudi Arabia who go to Hajj without permission and are detained will be sent back to their home country and barred from entering Saudi Arabia for a period of time.

Apart from this, those who transport pilgrims without permission will first be sent to jail. They will be detained there for six months. Then they will be sent back to their country. These people will also not be allowed to enter Saudi Arabia for a certain period of time.

Hajj cannot be done on tourist visa

Saudi Arabia has clearly stated that no one can perform Hajj on a tourist visa. Those with tourist visas have been instructed to stay out of Makkah from June 2 to June 21. Saudi said, so far, 20 thousand people have been found, who have broken the law of Hajj.
