Mostafizur Rahman has had a great start in the current IPL. This Bangladeshi pacer of Chennai Super Kings took 6 wickets in the first two matches. However, the last two matches were not good for Mustafiz.

Mustafiz spent 55 runs in 4 overs against Mumbai Indians on April 14. In the next match against Lucknow Super Giant, Tiger Pacer cost 43 runs. Chennai won against Mumbai in two of their bowling matches but lost to Lucknow.

Mostafiz is still Chennai’s highest wicket taker with 11 wickets in 6 matches. And in terms of taking wickets this season, this Tiger pacer is in the third place.

Mostafiz’s Chennai will take the field against Lucknow today at their home ground MA Chidambaram Cricket Stadium. This Tiger pacer has a great chance to regain the purple cap for the highest wicket taker in this match.

If he can take 3 wickets against Lucknow, then Mustafiz will get his lost crown (Purple Cap) back again. However, the left-handed pacer does not have a good past record against Lucknow. Mostafiz took only 1 wicket in 3 matches against Lucknow in his IPL career, in their last match in the current IPL.

But Mustafiz can expect 3 wickets in this match. Because, he can bowl very effectively on the slow-wicket of Chidambaram in Chennai. Mostafiz took 8 wickets in 3 matches in this field. Chennai’s batting coach Mike Hussey and Mahendra Singh Dhoni also praised Mustafiz’s excellent bowling at home.

Mumbai’s Jasprit Bumrah is the highest wicket-taker of the season so far. He has a purple cap. This right-handed pacer has taken 13 wickets in 8 matches. Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshit Patel also have equal wickets. Besides, Mumbai’s South African pacer Gerald Coetzee took 12 wickets.
