5 days ago, Chennai Super Kings announced that Devon Conway has been dropped from the current season of IPL. New cricketer England pacer Richard Clisson has been added to the squad instead.

But on Tuesday, Chennai left the fans in a quandary. To everyone’s surprise, Conway again joined the practice in Chennai. The franchise announced the addition of the New Zealand star batsman to the team. Chennai informed this information through a post on social media X (formerly Twitter).

Chennai added a photo of Conway to a post on their official X account on Tuesday. There, Conway can be seen sitting in the outfield of the MA Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in Chennai.

After seeing the picture, many people thought that maybe Conway was practicing to play for Chennai. But the batter may not. However, the franchise did not say anything about why Conway came to practice in Chennai.

It is known that Conway is training to recover from the injury before the T20 World Cup, which starts on June 1. He did light exercises during his rehabilitation process after the surgery.

With Conway out of the IPL, compatriot Rachin Ravindra is opening the innings for Chennai. Chennai will play their eighth match against Lucknow Super Giants today. Tiger pacer Mostafizur Rahman is expected to be in the XI.
