Batting first, Lucknow Super Giants won 13 consecutive matches. That is why team captain Lokesh Rahul has been named in IPL, The Defense Minister. That means, whatever score Lokesh Rahul collects by batting first, he will defend it.

At the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow beat the mighty Gujarat Titans on the back of Marcus Stoinis’ brilliant batting and pacer Jos Thakur’s superb bowling (5 wickets).

Lokesh Rahul won the toss and decided to bat first. Lucknow scored 163 runs for the loss of 5 wickets on the back of Marcus Stoinis 58 runs from 43 balls, Lokesh Rahul’s 33 from 31 balls and Nicholas Pooran’s unbeaten 32 from 22 balls.

Joss Thakur was on fire while defending this run. He gave away 30 runs in 3.5 overs but took 5 wickets to destroy Gujarat’s innings. Krunal Pandya took 3 wickets with 11 runs in 4 overs. As a result, Gujarat were all out for 130 runs in 18.5 overs.
