In a remarkable display of skill, Samuel Boateng, a Ghanaian striker for Rahmatganj, scored six goals in a single match against Dhaka Wanderers, leading his team to a 6-1 victory. This achievement marks a rare double hat-trick in the Bangladesh Premier League, a feat previously accomplished by Mohammedan's Noyen Paul in 2007. Boateng's goals came at minutes 23, 37, 43, and 63, with Wanderers' Saif Samsud scoring in the 50th minute. Boateng, who had previously struggled to find his place in Dhaka football, finally made his mark after being given an opportunity in the Rahmatganj starting lineup. His earlier challenges stemmed from being unable to break into the team, despite having previously been part of a Ghanaian youth club. Now, with a total of nine goals in the league, Boateng's performance has captured the spotlight. Rahmatganj, with 15 points from six matches, now sits in second place in the league. Coach Kamal Babu, while pleased with the team's progress, remains cautious about claiming the league title, acknowledging the strength of top teams like Mohammedan, Abahani, and Bashundhara Kings. Rahmatganj's next match is against Mohammedan in Munshiganj.
