In their 11th match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season, Durbar Rajshahi fielded an all-local lineup against Rangpur Riders, obtaining special permission from the tournament’s technical committee. Allegations surfaced that Rajshahi’s foreign players boycotted the match over unpaid dues. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) clarified that the franchise sought approval to play only with domestic players due to the unavailability of foreign cricketers for this game.
The technical committee reviewed their request and, under clause 1.2.8 of the tournament regulations, granted special permission to field an all-local team for this match. Notably, BPL rules generally allow up to four foreign players in the playing XI.
The Rajshahi lineup for the match included Sabbir Hossain, Enamul Haque, Yasir Rabbi, Akbar Ali, SM Meherob, Sanjamul Islam, Jisan Alam, Taskin Ahmed, Mohor Sheikh, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, and Mizanur Rahman.
