Due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been relocated to the United Arab Emirates, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed in a statement on Friday, May 9. The remaining four league-stage games, along with the playoffs and final, will all be held in the UAE, with specific dates and venues to be announced later.

This decision follows a drone attack near Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on May 8, which forced the cancellation of two PSL matches. PCB has assured refunds for ticket holders, including those who purchased VIP or enclosure tickets, which can be claimed from designated TCS Express Centers.

Currently, Bangladeshi cricketers Nahid Rana (Peshawar Zalmi) and Rishad Hossain (Lahore Qalandars) are in Pakistan. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had previously considered recalling them over safety concerns, but the relocation now allows them to continue playing. Foreign players had earlier communicated their reluctance to participate in matches under the current security climate. This season, approximately 40 international players have been involved across six PSL teams.
