On August 5, following the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government, an interim administration was formed in Bangladesh. Since then, reforms have been initiated across various sectors. Among these, a notable development occurred at the Secretariat, where multiple rounds of protests and disturbances took place, centered around various demands. Two months ago, the Internal Ministry Employees Association had launched a movement for their rights. As their demands were not met, the organization’s leaders and activists staged a peaceful ‘Corridor Blockade’ at the Secretariat today (Wednesday). The protest is being driven by second and third-class employees, who have put forward five key proposals:
