Iran has demanded the seizure of an Israeli-affiliated cargo ship. According to the country’s state media IRNA, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) seized the ship from the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday.

According to IRNA, the name of that ship is ‘MCS Ares’. It has to do with Israel. It was seized by IRGC members in a helicopter raid. The vessel is now being towed towards Iranian waters.

Israel’s tension with the country has been increasing since Israel’s attack on Gaza in Palestine. Meanwhile, on April 1, the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria, was attacked. Tehran has been blaming Israel for the attack. They also threatened to take revenge.

The situation in the Middle East has become more unstable after the threat of Iran. Countries like India, France, Poland and Russia have warned their citizens against traveling to the region amid fears of an Iranian attack. Yesterday, Germany also urged its citizens to leave Iran.

US President Joe Biden believes that Iran will attack soon. Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reported that US warships have taken a position to protect Israel from possible Iranian attacks.
