Iranian ambassador Amir Sayed Iravani also said that the UN Security Council has failed to fulfill its responsibility to protect international peace and security. He said this while referring to the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria at the beginning of this month.
Referring to that attack, Iranian Ambassador Eravani also said that Tehran had no choice but to retaliate. He also said, "Iran does not want tension or war." Iran launched more than three hundred drone and missile attacks on Israel last Saturday night. Iran said the attack was in response to an April 1 attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria.
Israel said Israeli, US and allied forces shot down almost all of the weapons before they hit their targets. Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran, said that all the targets that were attacked in Israel have been met. He said that if Israel does not respond to this attack, then Tehran has no plans to attack the country again.
