New Zealand and South Africa have kept a touch of tradition in their World Cup jerseys. Another strong country, Australia, has released the World Cup jersey this time. Captain Mitchell Marsh poses in the new World Cup jersey. As soon as the design of this jersey came out, many discussions started.

Last year, Australia won the ODI World Cup by defeating the host India on Indian soil. Before that they also won the title by defeating India in the final of the Test Championship. The Baggy Greens are desperate to prove their superiority in three formats at the same time by winning the T20 World Cup.

Australia’s jersey color in ODI is yellow. But in T20 the color of the jersey is not fixed. Sometimes yellow, sometimes green. This time like the World Cup jersey they can say is all green. There is only a slight touch of yellow.

On behalf of Cricket Australia, on their X handle, the picture of the T20 World Cup jersey of this year has been published. Where it can be seen, the first year i.e. 2007 T20 World Cup Aussies jersey was all yellow. Both hands were white. In this year’s 2024 T20 World Cup, Azid’s jersey is green. There is a slight yellowing on the collar and lower part of the arms.

In the first three T20 World Cups in 2007, 2009 and 2010, the Aussies’ jerseys were dominated by yellow. Then in 2012, 2014 and 2016 World Cup, their jersey was in possession of green. Yellow tide comes again in 2021, 2022 World Cup. Now they are back to green.

No matter how dominant they are in the ODI World Cup, they don’t have that dominance in T20Is. They won the championship for the first time under the leadership of Aaron Finch in 2021. In this World Cup, the Australians will start their T20 World Cup campaign against Oman on June 6.
