Oman will play T20 World Cup under the leadership of new captain Aqib Ilyas. They announced the 15-member squad for the World Cup today (May 1).
Elias replaces Zeesan Maqsood, who led Oman in the 2016 T20 World Cup. Jisan is in the team even if he is not the captain.
Opening batsman Jatinder Singh and legspinner Samaya Srivastava were left out of Oman’s World Cup squad. They are there as reserve players.
Meanwhile, Nepal will go to the World Cup under the leadership of Rohit Paudel, who is in great form. Star legspinner Sandeep Lamichane is not in the team. He is in jail in a rape case.
This year’s T20 World Cup will be held in the United States and West Indies from June 1.
