A grocery store has broken previous Guinness World Records by collecting more than 311,000 avocados

A grocery store in the US has organized a solo exhibition of avocados. There they collected more than 311,000 avocados and broke the previous Guinness World Records. And it’s done as part of the Cinco de Mayo celebration. The store is located in The El Rio Grenade Latin Mall in Dallas, Texas.

86 thousand 764 pounds of avocados were kept in this exhibition. The display was verified by Guinness World Records judges and confirmed as the world’s largest display of a single fruit.

The exhibition was organized last Friday. The exhibition runs through the weekend; So that people attending the Cinco de Mayo festival can enjoy and photograph this record-breaking event.

Cinco de Mayo, meaning May 5th. On this day in 1862, France was defeated by Mexico in the Battle of Puebla. Napoleon III led France in that war. Since then the day is observed as a cultural holiday. Now the day has become more popular in the United States than in Mexico. People of Mexican-American heritage often celebrate the day.

Every year, different cities of the United States celebrate the day in various ways including parades, festivals, music. Various restaurants and brands offer interesting food and beverage offers throughout the week.
