Royal Challengers Bangalore fans can regret now. If they had not lost 6 matches in a row in the beginning, then they would not have been so worried now. Still, Virat Kohli’s side got another win and kept their playoff chances alive.

Bengaluru beat Delhi Capitals by 47 runs on Sunday night. Delhi Capitals were bowled out for 140 runs in 19.1 overs to answer the 187 runs scored by Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli.

With this win, Royal Challengers Bangalore has moved up to fifth place in the table with 12 points from 13 matches. Bangalore have only one match left in the group stage. Even if they win that match, the last four will not be guaranteed, they will have to look at other matches as well.

Delhi won the toss and put hosts RCB into bat at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After losing the toss, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis made a partnership of 23 runs. Plessy was out for 6 runs. Virat Kohli was dismissed for 27 runs.

Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar combined to increase the score for Bengaluru. Will Jacques scored 41 runs off 29 balls. Rajat Patidar scored 52 runs off 32 balls. Cameron Green was unbeaten on 32 off 24 balls. In the end, Bengaluru scored 187 runs after losing 9 wickets.

Coming down to reply, Delhi was in a batting disaster right from the start. Acting captain Akshar Patel scored 57 runs off 39 balls in the middle order. Cy Hope scored 29 runs off 23 balls. Jack Fraser Magark scored 21 runs. In the end, Delhi Capitals were all out for 140 runs in 19.1 overs.
