Pakistan lost the ‘final’ series to Ireland

As the series was tied 1-1, the third and final T20 match in Dublin became the undeclared final. Pakistan won the trophy by defeating Ireland by 6 wickets in this undeclared final. Pakistan has topped the target of 179 runs given by the Irish with 18 balls in hand.

Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam scored fifties to answer the Irish’s 178 at Castle Avenue in Dublin. Babar played a great innings of 75 runs off 42 balls. Hit 5 sixes with 6 boundaries. And Rizwan’s impeccable innings of 59 runs from 38 balls. Pakistan went to the port of victory riding on the bat of these two batsmen.

Opener Saim Ayyub contributed 14 runs in the match to confirm the series. In the end, Azam Khan left the field after scoring 18 runs in 6 balls. Iftekhar Ahmed was out for 5 runs.

Earlier Pakistan captain Babar won the toss and decided to bowl first. In the beginning, pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi gave a big blow to the Irish camp. He bowled Ross Adair for 7 off 8 balls.

However, losing the first wicket in the team’s 15 runs, Ireland turned around brilliantly with the bat of Andy Balbirnie and captain Lorcan Tucker. They made a pair of 85 runs off 49 balls for the second wicket.
