White House National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan is visiting Saudi Arabia. There, he discussed the post-war governance of Gaza with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
According to Saudi state media reports, the meeting held in the Saudi city of Dhahran reviewed the semi-final version of the draft agreement on the normalization of relations between the two countries, which is almost at the final stage.
According to the report, Sullivan is scheduled to go to Israel after his visit to Saudi Arabia.
The report also said a senior U.S. official told the media — Jack Sullivan and the crown prince were to discuss long-standing U.S. efforts to broker a normalization deal between Jerusalem and Riyadh.
The US official also said that Sullivan will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to provide an update on his discussions in Riyadh and will also discuss Israel’s planned military operation in Rafah.
Earlier, the US said that the US defense deal with Saudi Arabia would depend on the normalization of relations with Israel.
