Iran did not even ask for US help after the helicopter crash

Tehran asked the United States for help after the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi crashed. This information was informed by the US Department of State on Monday. However, the country did not give any details about it. News from AFP.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters he was not commenting on the matter. However, the Iranian government sought assistance from the United States, but in the end they could not provide that assistance mainly due to managerial reasons.

He said that after the helicopter crashed on Sunday afternoon, Iran sought urgent help to find it. Miller said only that Iran contacted the United States after the helicopter carrying Raisi crashed on Sunday. The United States tells Iran that it responds to requests from foreign governments in such situations. They used to help Iran in this case too. However, it was not possible mainly due to managerial reasons.

According to the news agency AFP report, Washington has not had any diplomatic relations with Tehran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Therefore, the spokesperson of the US State Department refused to tell how the communication between the two countries took place.
