Israeli forces have attacked 50 targets in Gaza in the last 24 hours. In a statement, Israel’s military said the strikes had targeted military infrastructure, weapons depots and Hamas fighters in the past 24 hours. Al Jazeera news.

An attack on a Hamas target in central Gaza killed several fighters. Several civilians have also been killed in Israel’s latest attacks across Gaza. Six women and a child were killed in an attack by Israeli forces on Bureizi refugee camp.

Meanwhile, four people were killed in an Israeli attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Several residential areas of Khan Yunis were also attacked. At least 12 people including three children lost their lives. Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said, “We will not accept the rule of Hamas under any circumstances.”

A new ceasefire plan has been announced to end the ongoing war in Gaza. If Hamas agrees to it, the United States hopes that Israel will also accept it. The spokesman of the country’s National Security Council, John Corby, said this. US President Joe Biden unveiled the ceasefire plan last week.

It has been said that the ceasefire will be implemented in three phases. The first phase will begin with a six-week ceasefire.

During that time, Israeli troops will be withdrawn from populated areas of Gaza, and humanitarian aid will be provided. The plan also calls for an exchange of prisoners and hostages between Hamas and Israel.

Although the United States expressed hope that Israel would agree to this ceasefire proposal, some members of the Israeli cabinet have already taken a position against it. The cease-fire proposal came as the Israeli military intensified its airstrikes on the Gaza city of Rafah.

On October 7, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas entered the border of Israel and launched a sudden attack. Israel then launched a counter-attack on Gaza. At least 36,439 Palestinians have been killed in the seven-month conflict. In addition, another 82 thousand 627 Palestinians were injured.
