Israeli attack on UN school in Gaza, 16 dead

Israeli forces attacked a school run by the United Nations in the Gaza Strip of Palestine. At least 16 people were killed in this. The government information office of Gaza controlled by Hamas reported this news in a statement on Saturday.

According to the statement, the school run by the United Nations was being used as a shelter for Palestinian refugees during the ongoing war. The official information office of Gaza said that the attack took place at the Al-Zauni school in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central part of Gaza. At least 75 people were injured. At least 16 people died.

The school, which is used as a temporary shelter for Palestinian refugees, is run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). The Israeli forces launched an indiscriminate attack on the Gaza Strip last October. Since then there have been several attacks on UN-run schools.

According to Gaza health officials, more than 38,000 people have been killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip since October 7. Most of them are women and children. Gazans are living in extreme humanitarian crisis due to lack of food, water, medical care and medicine.
