North Korean leader Kim Jong Un observed the performance of homegrown drones. The country’s state-owned media KCNA reported this information on Monday.

According to KCNA, Kim visited the Drone Institute of the North Korean Academy of Defense Sciences last Saturday. There he observed the experiments of various drones. In these tests, the drones are able to accurately identify and destroy the designated targets by flying along different predetermined routes.

During the monitoring event, Kim ordered the production of more suicide drones. For example, he called for increasing the production of drones that can carry out underwater suicide attacks, strategic surveillance and multi-pronged attacks. These drones will be used by tactical infantry and special operations units.

Kim also ordered more testing of the drones in combat and to prepare the North Korean military with these drones as soon as possible.

North Korea has made major progress in its long-range ballistic missile tests and nuclear program in the past few years. The country has also increased the number of short-range missiles and heavy artillery aimed at hitting South Korea. Through all these, Kim’s country has increased its strategic war capabilities. In addition to visiting the drone institute, Kim Jong Un also visited the construction sites of various industrial factories in North Korea last Saturday and Sunday.
